Since my last post Tanzania Development Trust has successfully completed our Global Giving Challenge and raised £42,000 towards our campaign to build a Safe House for girls refusing Female Genital Mutilation in Mugumu, Tanzania.
The brilliant news is that we have transferred the first tranche of money and construction has started, as you can see here!
The builders are supervised by an interested observer.
I am going out to visit the site and learn more about Mama Rhobi's advocacy work against FGM and child marriage in the area next month.
I am also visiting Village Education Project Kilimanjaro and Project Wezesha
