Since my last post Tanzania Development Trust has successfully completed our Global Giving Challenge and raised £42,000 towards our campaign to build a Safe House for girls refusing Female Genital Mutilation in Mugumu, Tanzania.

The builders are supervised by an interested observer.
I am going out to visit the site and learn more about Mama Rhobi's advocacy work against FGM and child marriage in the area next month.
I am also visiting Village Education Project Kilimanjaro and Project Wezesha
Further posts from all these projects to follow...
Thanks for sharing this, I hope House Builders in the Philippines will be part of this type of project.
ReplyDeleteThis is truly inspiring! Supporting safe spaces for girls who stand up against FGM is such powerful work. It reminds me how some Home Builders Philippines are also stepping up creating safe, dignified shelters for women and children in crisis. Empowerment begins with protection and purpose. I've used to check out https://topnotchconstruction.net/ for home building tips.
